The team refused to be rattled by a determined Hunts onslaught in the first 10 minutes. Every single member of Nomads stepped up their game and a combination of youthful energy, determined tackling and some great skill and positioning saw Nomads regroup and gain some good possession. A Jenny Lovegrove goal mid way through the first half led to Nomads ending the first half with the balance of play slightly in their favour. Rosy's declaration at half time that the " tussles of the first 15 minutes" had made her ten times more determined to get to the ball first and we were going to win, inspired us all. The second half saw great attacks down the right by Scarlett, more shots by Jenny, and short corners - but the score remained stubbornly 1-0. Inspired defending by Rosy, Liz ,Abi all of whom placed some well timed tackles, coming away with the ball at key times, kept us in the game. MoM, Katie ran tirelessly, winning the ball in important tackles to restart attacks. Not one member of the team left anything on the pitch. It was a hard game in so many ways. The team did themselves and their captain Clare proud.
