The Nomad L2s started off the game with a strong attack in the first five minutes, overloading the City defence and delivering two reverse stick strikes on goal at the hands of Isa Lentini but no goals scored. However, it did not take long for the well-schooled City players to fight back and land the first goal of the match.

Nomads continued to deliver a constructive attacking game with some solid passing between the midfield and forward players but it was not long before City were two goals up. A short awarded in favour of Nomads and taken by Isa Lentini got Nomads back in the game as she delivered a powerful strike on goal which was deflected by sister Fran. At half-time City was winning 2-3.

The high intensity continued in the second half with both teams having multiple chances on goal, stretching the Nomads defensive line. A strong ball laid off by Flo Moore to forward Laura Excell landed Nomads the much needed tiebreaker to get us back in the game. City were quick to raise the bar again landing their 4th goal of the game. The Nomad players responded and in a matter of minutes had broken down the City attacking play and a quick break had Fran Lentini running towards goal with the support of Flo Moore and Zara Hrnjicic, a few passes in the D with a final ball delivered back to the stick of Fran Lentini, closing the gap to four all.

In the closing minutes, City were awarded a short, an early movement in goal from a Nomads defender left our goal a man down and City used this opportunity to their advantage, the short was taken and the final nail in the coffin delivered, Nomads lost 4-5.
