No goals as Ladies1s travelled to StNeots

Away for the 2nd week in a row, this saturday the ladies 1st XI travelled a bit less far a field to St Neots. With a team of 13 the dressed in their pink away strip the girls looked determined from the start to take the game to the higher ranked side. The match was end to end with chances for both sides but ultimately neither team could break through. The nomads team stood strong in defence with some players forced to man mark certain opposition players for the entire game. However while this cemented the defence the girls in pink couldn't get the forward momentum to take the lead and so the game ended in a 0-0 scoreline. Man of match went to Kate Westgate for her strength and work on the pitch, but there were also notable good performances from 2 of our juniors Maddie and Annie.

Next week the girls have the early 9:30 slot as they face locals Cambridge City at home, where they are sure to be looking to find the back of the net.
