Ladies 1 make it 3 out of 3

This Saturday the ladies 1s team took on Elys 2nd team. Lots of opportunities were created in the first half of the game with a goal saved on the goal line. The nomads ladies kept pushing up for the attack. Thanks to the control in the defensive line and some perseverance nomads went 1-0 up before half time. The first goal went to Ellie. She remained composed on the ball and managed to draw the ball across the goal takes a reverse stick shot at goal.
The second half of the game consisted mostly of short corners. All of the defensive short corners were successfully cleared by the defensive line. The midfield came back strong every time to support the clearing of the ball. Good opportunities came from the nomad ladies quickly turning the ball over from a defensive short corner. Our second goal of the game came from a strong ball into the D from Zoe and a hit from Charlotte Joyce into the bottom right corner.
Rosie remained strong throughout the game despite being sat on by one of the opposition players. Another win for the ladies 1’s. A good start to the season.
