Match report 13.10 L1 Nomads

Nomads ladies 1's played newmarket at home. Play began well when 5 minutes into the game a quick pass up the right line to Sarah Warren resulted into a quick cross across the D, with Ellie Martin finishing nicely on the left post to get the first goal of the game. Both sides held it there, to finish half term with a 1-0 lead.

The team went out second half, determined to make it a stronger lead and Kate Westgate tapped one in on a short corner. Charlotte Argue got a strong finish with a reverse strike for the third and Ellie Martin got her name on the score sheet for a second time as she scooped the ball past the keeper to take the score to 4-0. Newmarket did get hold of the ball and take it quickly into dangerous play on a couple of occasions, keeper Erica Hilberry kept a clean sheet with some nice clearances with her few touches of the ball. Player of the match went to Ruth Marriott, for excellent work in the midfield.
