Despite it being another pleasant morning for hockey, St Ives poached two goals before half time. Nomads again suffered from their play not quite being consistent enough and passes breaking down.
In the final quarter, Nomads put sustained pressure on the St Ives defence. Dom dribbled from the top of D to the back line and proceeded to head towards the goal mouth. There he met with a line of sticks and pads and managed to shovel the ball to Paul screaming at the back post. A further clash of ball and sticks resulted in the ball looping into the sideboards for our consolation goal.
With the clock ticking down, St Ives held out to win 2-1.
MoM to Rick for his surging work from defence to attack. Hat-tip to Ed for a back-to-back visit to St Ives.
