Another beautiful day in Cambridge - but Nomes started slowly and clumsily after their excellent season opener last weekend.
Cambridge South scored two well-executed goals by pouncing on Nomads mistakes - no discredit to any particular individuals - it was team-wide malaise of low percentage hockey.
It was pleasing to fare much better in the second half (drawing 1-1). Paul banged the Nomads goal with other convertible opportunities just eluding Arthur & Paul, if not others. Julian was actually denied a reverse hit strike!
Man of the match goes to Dom for an authoritative performance in the middle. Big high-five to new fella George - looking dangerous on the ball and hungry off it. It was disheartening to see Ollie limping off. Hat-tip to Ellis for doing a creditable job at Left Back - not a familiar position for him, likewise to Rick, who guested there too!
Onwards and upwards!
