1st half:
Following push back Nomads saw much of the ball, starting with pace and precision creating many hopeful chances looking to go a goal up. For the first 10 minutes, Nomads won every first and second ball, setting a tempo above the opposition. However unfortunately after a break on the counter, followed by a clever piece of play, Felix, the rock of the defence turned in a beautiful half volley from a West Herts cross, firing the ball past the legs of the keeper Ethan. As a result of such events, West Herts continued to intensify their game, moving the ball on quickly and creating penetrating runs which Nomads struggled to follow. Amongst the chaos West Herts were causing, Nomads too caused difficulties in attack, breaking forward many times and winning countless short corners. However, unfortunately, Nomads failed to convert any of these chances and as a result gifted West Herts with a second own goal ( credits to DB scoring in all 3 matches).
2nd Half:
Nomads started the second half very well, pacing the ball with speed and determination in hopes to recover the deficit. Much like the first half, Nomads saw plenty of the ball, yet could not seem to convert any of the chances created. Nomads had a bit more control of the game, practising many of the routines in training, finding themselves out wide and on the bar line, causing West Hert's grief in defence. However, Nomads' failure to score presented West Herts many opportunities on the counter-attack, breaking forward with pace, causing an overload in Nomads' 25, before clinically finishing many chances. Although the score was high and the game was well out of reach, Nomads continued to show spirit, with the forwards making meaningful runs and the midfielders creating intricate leads. As a result of such fabulous play, Nomads managed to pull a goal back with Ganja firing a shot past the West Herts goalkeeper who was very shocked to see that he had conceded. Following Ravi's tactical change to resort to a 3 back, West Herts managed to further damage the scoreline, adding a sixth to the score sheet. Overall, although the scoreline was heavy, it did not reflect a true representation of the game or Nomads' performance, who created many exciting chances and dug in throughout the whole game.
