Well done everyone today. Nomads juniors were unbeaten this morning with the two U12 teams winning both their games and the U10 drawing one and winning the other. Plenty of fantastic play from everyone.
The younger junior section of the club turned out in numbers on Sunday for a triangular tournament with Ely and Peterborough.
it was a great occasion with U8s, U10s and U12 teams playing hockey against their peers from the other clubs, for some of them their first time as a Nomad in a competitive fixture.
The emphasis of the day was participation and fun, but still worth noting that our Nomads teams were unbeaten across all fixtures. We did not have an U8s team, but our mixed U10s drew against Peterborough in a good close match, then beat Ely, our U12 Boys beat a Peterborough mixed U12s and then finished off with a resounding win over Ely, playing some lovely hockey at times; and our U12 girls team looked stylish in winning both their matches against the girls' teams from both clubs. It was great to see them all putting what they have been learning on Wednesday nights in to practice on the pitch.
Credit to all of them for a great attitude and to the parents for getting them all there on time (for some of you much ahead of time!)
Massive thank you to both Sarahs for umpiring all morning and to Charlotte for helping out with the U10s.
