Nomads Girls U14s play out an exciting 3-3 draw with St Neots

The first EH Girls U14 Tournament became an 11-a-side friendly between St Neots and Nomads once Cambridge South pulled out and both teams had 14 players. With both teams enjoying plenty of support and Nomads expertly managed, organised and encouraged by Amelia and Alice, the game was played at a good pace with the ball being spread around the pitch. Following a strong start from a decent St Neots side, Nomads eased into their stride with some slick passing and neat triangles, and by midway through the second half had established a 3-1 lead with goals from Louisa, Katie and Isabel. However St Neots finished the stronger and Nomads couldn't quite hold on to their lead (and unlike St Neots didn't have a goalkeeper), and the game finished 3-3 which was about right. Aramea was voted 'Player of the day' by the opposition.

And big thank you's all round. To Steve and Abi for some great umpiring, to our energetic management double act, to the parents (some very vocal which we like!) who braved the grey Abbey conditions, and of course to all the players for putting on, what was for alot of them the first 11-a-side match, a really good performance.
