With a fixture clash for our U14 Boys things were always going to be a bit tricky in an opener against Cambridge City with half the squad still seeing out the fixture against Royston HC over at The Perse. And so it turned out. Despite being 6-0 down at HT, Nomads stuck to it well creating a few good chances of their own through George and Harry and finished just 2 further goals down at full time. A special mention to Daniel in goal who played extremely well saving far more than he let in against a very strong team.
And then the cavalry arrived in the form of Murray, Juan, Ben C., Thomas and Harry T. Nomads then became far too strong for Malden and defeated them 3-1 with eye catching performances throughout the team, but especially so from Juan and Ben C. This revitalised squad would have given City a run for their money, and in this reporter's humble opinion, would have beaten them. Well done everyone!
Next fixture 2nd February hosted by Malden.
