Nomads entertained bottom-of-the-table St Neots at home and we eager to build the improvements seen in recent weeks. The Two hoped to garner a win from this bottom-of-the-table scrap. Instead, the home side got a hammering to the tune of 8-1. Credit due to St Neots - they were excellent on the fast break and proved to be pretty clinical when they got these chances.
That's not to say that Nomads didn't have their chances. We had some dominant periods of play - particularly at the start of the second half. Ollie Ruffle worked his way through from the goal line on the right hand and lashed a ball into the top of the net - very satisfying!
In the pub afterwards, St Neots disclosed that they have just appointed a new team coach just over 2 weeks ago who appears to have put magic their sticks. We're struggling to believe that their current form merits their lowly status in this league.....
