Nomads Twos win 5-1 against St Neots

Nomads' first goal came in the first couple of minutes - a short corner routine went from the top to Moots on the right hand side who knocked in.

The second came from another short corner. Zinny injected, Arthur slipped to Max, who slapped it towards the left post. Zinny got a delicate little clip on the reverse side for the ball to cross the line.

I think St Neots recovered a goal at this point.

Nomads' third game from some interplay from Sugi to Thom and then to Matthew. Matthew's first attempt to either go past the defender or to shoot was stopped. Matthew's sheer strength stripped the ball from the defender and powered it over the goal line.

Nomads' fourth came from Woody with an assist from Zinny - details are hazy in my memory. Would either like to use the comments below to fill in?

In the last 15 minutes, St Neots really tired, with a number of their players walking around. The final goal was a series of two touch moves: Tim from near the half way line, passed to Zinny in between the 25 yard line and the edge of the D. He turned and slotted to Moots running in from the left hand side to score beautifully.

The only footnote was the tea at the Med - the salad - all very green and novel for hockey teas. Reaction was mixed: many positive and some negative.
