Wellingborough have been a struggling club - they have taken 10 to some of their away games for example. The previous fixture was a 3-0 Nomads win, but with a full strength side, the outcome could have been different.
The match proved to be close, but, in the end, it was Nomads' day. Our first goal came from the good fortune of a bobbling ball going through about 4 open Boro sticks. With some surprise that the ball arrived to him, Max managed to apply his signature move to clonk it in at the left post.
The second was a reverse hit strike from Woody near the top of the D through a crowd to find the net.
After the break, Wellingborough recovered one from a short corner, if memory serves the author correctly. Nomadic opportunities existed in the second half too. Sugi hit the crossbar and Zinny should have been on the scoresheet twice, if only Arthur had managed to get the ball when he was in a goal scoring position.
As we chewed on delicious sausages, chips 'n' beans, it was great to walk off with 3 points - even if Jez could only hobble off with sore ribs!
