Nomads entertained St Ives at Coldhams. The first half was goalless and it was 10 minutes into second half when the deadlock was broken. A turn over in Nomads own half set Toya racing down the left. He passed perfectly to Arthur inside the D - a pass that committed the goal keeper. Arthur with (perhaps) his first touch of the game, passed to Rich Mackie on the right post to push the ball into an empty net.
St Ives demonstrated gritted their teeth and levelled the match. Credit to Nomads defensive short corner team who soaked up lots of pressure but didn't wilt. Sadly, St Ives added one more to their tally. In nail biting final 5 minutes, Nomads were unable to pull out the draw - at the final whistle it was 2-1.
With thanks to Toya, who returns home to Germany at Christmas and won't return after Christmas. It's been a pleasure playing hockey with you - happy hockey sticks!
