5-1 loss, but Nomads retain their fourth place position in the league

There was an early morning departure for 11am push back north of Peterborough. Having won at home 4-1 in the first half of the season, Nomads faced a much more 'seasoned' Bourne Deeping side playing on their own ground - at Arthur Mellows Village College, no less.

Nomads went 2-0 down, as we struggled to become familiar with their new-ish, bouncy pitch. This was enough to unsettle us and, to their credit, Bourne Deeping showed us exactly how to play on such a surface. Soon enough Nomads recovered their confidence and we recovered a goal: Josh struck a side line hit from near the corner flag which wasn't properly defended. Arthur pounced on the ball and drove along the back line. He slipped the ball to Ellis who was perfectly positioned on the P spot and slotted in at the back post. It was Max who shoved it into the backboards, but generously gave the goal to Ellis.

In the second half, Bourne scored 3 goals - two of which came from smoothly executed short corner routines. At full time, the final score was 5-1.
