Nomads level with Peterborough with 4 goals apiece

From the outset, Nomad applied heaps of pressure on Peterborough's defence. After 15 mins of play, it showed. From a hit in our right hand corner, Peterborough switched the ball around the back. A 'boro defender drilled the ball through our ring - but Ali stopped the ball and charged in the D. His first shot was repelled directly back at him. He rounded the keeper and slotted the ball firmly home.

Nomads second came as a result of Jack being deliberately felled by the goalkeeper who was already beaten with clear shot at goal on his reverse stick side. Spence raced up the pitch to grab the ball and duly dispatched the penalty flick!

After half time, Nomads converted with a lovely manoeuvre with Rick and Jack all linking up together, finding Ali on the right hand side just outside the D. He propelled the ball to the P spot and Sugi swept the ball into the back of the net.

In the second half, Peterborough dug deep and played with renewed authority. Their short corner routine was direct and brutally effective, resulting in 3 goals in the space of 15 minutes.

With encouragement from both Nomads Ones and Peterborough Fours waiting on the side, the match became finely balanced at 3-3.

Once again, Ali played a critical role in Nomads' fourth goal. He worked his way through two players to have a short range shot at goal with the keeper beaten. Amazingly, the defender on the line saved his shot. The ball fell to Sugi about a metre outside the left post. Sugi hoicked the ball onto his open stick and, surrounded by incoming sticks, whisked the ball onto the backboards.

Peterborough recovered one final goal, giving the score at the last whistle of 4-4.
