Nomads Twos outpace Bourne Deeping 4-1

A capable Nomads line-up faced Bourne Deeping at Coldhams. A Bourne Deeping short corner took a slight deflection from our number 1 runner, enough to find the bottom corner of the goal. From this set back, Nomads converted their territorial pressure: Paul worked his way into the D and passed across the face of goal. Sugi was to be found in the perfect position on the back post and knocked the ball home to level the match.

Nomads attack did an excellent job of consistently closing down opposition's 16 yard hits, causing them lots of difficulties. Rick poached the ball from a Bourne Deeping defender and passed to Paul. Paul went one-on-one with the goalie and deftly found the bottom left corner.

Nomads' game play improved in the second half and we took the major share of possession. Nomads third came from a cross from the right into a crowded D. Nomads' fourth and final goal was clinched by Tom Jarvis following a series of shots that either the defence or the goal keeper saved. The ball fell to Tom who slotted home without issue, giving him well deserved credit.
