Despite suffering 9 goals going against us, we scored in the final 4 minutes, so with another 20 mins or so, we would have had victory in the bag!

It was a depleted side both in terms of men and equipment that appeared in Spalding in the afternoon sunshine.

As ever, it was a competent and hungry Spalding side that we faced. Nomads played well in the first half with some opportunities coming our way. Arthur picked off a pass that gave him one-on-one with their goalie but he managed to deflect Arthur's reverse stick shot.

We were 2-0 at half time. Dynamo Tim pulled his calf muscle early in the second half and could only limp around up front. Spalding proceeded to turn on the style in the second half, slotting in 7, some of them peachy.

In the dying moments, Gianluca worked his way into the D to find Matthew who powerfully shovelled the ball home.

Man of the match goes to John for some spectacular saves. Most memorable was a lightning reaction to a ball going into the roof of the net which resulted in his glove being flung 15 feet vertically into the air.

HIGHLY honorable mention goes to Thom for incredible running throughout the whole match.

Donkey of the Day goes to Jez for failing to bring correct footwear for Spalding's turf!

Teas of the Season undoubtedly goes to Spalding
