Hunger to win propels Nomads Twos past Wisbech

A brief match report before the Xmas break....

The best summary of the first half is a testament from Lewis, our goalie, who said he didn't really have much to do.

Nomads first half goal was a Walsh special! Woody dribbled down the left hand side of the field and his reverse stick pass found Jack beautifully at the top of the D. Jack committed the Wisbech goalie, then passed to Sam on the back post to execute his trademark manoeuvre.

In the second half, Nomads took their foot off the pedal and the match became even. Wisbech drew level, which fired Nomads will to win. Good opportunities came Nomads' way, but our second came from a goal mouth scramble with a shot on goal being blocked by Wisbech foot on the line. Breathlessly, we waited until the umpires consulted. A flick! Dave Spence hogged the limelight and fortunately dispatched.

Final result: 2-1 - Happy Christmas!
