Top of the table Horncastle beat Nomads Twos

Faraway Horncastle arrived at the last minute to play Nomads Twos at Coldhams. Once again, some excellent hockey was played by the home team, but our opponents converted their chances more effectively.

Superb goal line save from Seth from a Horncastle short corner routine sent the ball in low-trajectory orbit.

Nomads first goal was a peachy manoeuvre from Dan Jarvis collecting the ball on the half way mark, passing to Sam, back to Dan and then to Si Fitch who committed the keeper to slip back to Dan at the top of the D to comprehensively clatter the ball again the backboards.

Nomads' second goal was a 'power' flick from the top of the D from your captain. The ball just about reached the keeper and somehow the unfortunate goalie managed to completely scuff stopping the ball, never mind clearing it! No matter they all count.
